“Where can I pick up a copy of Ready to Come About?”
I’m often asked this question. The answer is, “A lot of places!” It depends on where you are, how you shop, and, perhaps, what you want to support.
If you are inclined to support the book industry, it is never a bad idea to purchase directly from a publisher.

Dundurn Press is my publisher. Ready to Come About is available in paperback and eBooks directly through their website.
If you’re a fan of supporting small business, you might want to consider picking up, or ordering, a copy of Ready to Come About, through an independent bookstore.
Some independent bookstores that are special to me are:
The Bookshelf (Guelph, ON) — This iconic store has a long and interesting history going back to 1973, and it’s been instrumental in launching Ready to Come About into the world.
Millstreet Books (Almonte, ON) — Was voted one of the best independent bookstores in Canada under the passionate custodianship of Mary and Terry Lumsden. I will remember their enthusiastic promotion of Ready to Come About for ever.

Nautical Mind Marine Booksellers & Chart Agents (the waterfront in downtown Toronto) — They are truly a global source for sailors and, as such, we have purchased books and navigational aids from them, both in store and remotely, for decades. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of owners, Ross and Dorothy, Ready to Come About was one of their best-selling titles for 2020.
Some others I have had the good fortune of working with in Ontario are: Furby House Books (Port Hope), Books & Company (Picton), Novel Idea (Kingston), Jessica’s Book Nook (Thornbury), and Books on Beechwood (Ottawa).

More recently, I have been doing Zoom presentations about Ready to Come About on the west coast of Canada, and have had the pleasure of connecting with two independent book stores in BC recommended by locals: Tanner’s Books (Sidney), and Talewind Books (Sechelt)
A widely available source across Canada, both online and in physical store locations, is Indigo Canada. The Kobo eBook version of my memoir is available through Indigo, or directly through kobo.com.
And, of course, there’s Amazon, in Canada through Amazon.ca, in the United States through Amazon.com, and globally through the Amazon distribution system. Amazon is also the source of the Kindle eBook version of Ready to Come About.
